Vehicle Construction
Whilst vehicle construction as a classic discipline of mechanical engineering, vehicle technology also involves, apart from disciplines of mechanical engineering, a large number of other technical disciplines, such as for example physics, electrical engineering, thermodynamics and flow technology. Here, it concerns the design, concepts and operation of vehicles of every kind, i.e. from the motorbike to the aircraft, but also ranges from functional assemblies of vehicles through to the optimisation of individual components. This also includes systems for improving operational safety, making the steering of a vehicle easier and comfort. A particularly innovative area of vehicle technology is concerned with the development of new drive systems from the ecological standpoint.
